City manager for Dallas says it will be extremely difficult if not impossible to hire over 450 needed Officers.

"Instead of increasing the police force, the city is expected to hire 300 new officers to replace those leaving, Gonzalez said in the financial forecast memo."

Dallas in 2015-2016 spent nearly 30 million in overtime which is nearly double what they had planned for.

Officers in Omaha are feeling the pinch of strained crews and we see all the time from Mean Streets OMA "no cars available city wide".

We're fortunate Omaha isn't in nearly a bad place as Dallas is, but we're creeping down that road.
