In August, Judge Shelly Stratman presided over the sentencing hearing of Antoine Gamble.

Gamble had been convicted of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.

Judge Stratman sentenced gamble to 12 to 15 years in prison, well above the mandatory minimum of 3 years.

Gamble is also serving a flat 5 year sentence for felony assault by a confined person - meaning, that he beat someone up in jail.

His total combined sentence is 17 to 20 years.

Nice work your honor.

Based on Nebraska's sentencing laws, he must be released after serving 10 years.
